Up close
The Stäubli TX90 is a six-axis industrial robot arm for fast handling, machine tending, assembly and packaging. It carries 20 kg, reaches 1,000 mm and repeats to about ±0.03 mm, running on Stäubli's CS8C controller and VAL3 language. It is an earlier generation (since replaced by the TX2-90), so most units today are bought used or refurbished, or to extend an existing Stäubli cell.

Questions
Can I still buy a new TX90?
Stäubli has replaced it with the TX2-90, so most TX90s on the market are used or refurbished. Check the controller version, hours, service history and spare-parts access before buying.
How much can it carry?
20 kg, including the gripper or tool. Heavy or off-centre loads reduce speed and accuracy, so check the load diagram for your tool.
Is it a collaborative robot?
No. It is an industrial arm and needs guarding or other safety measures when people work nearby.
