Up close
The SoftBank Robotics Whiz is an autonomous vacuum robot for carpeted offices, hotels, schools, airports and shops. Staff push it once along a route to teach it, then it repeats that route on its own, cleaning about 500 m² an hour with HEPA filtration and a 4 L dust bag. It runs about 3 hours on a swappable battery and avoids people with LiDAR, a 3D camera and bump and cliff sensors. It is a carpet vacuum, not a wet scrubber.
