Up close
The OKIBO EG7 is an autonomous construction robot that sprays, plasters, paints, coats and sands interior walls and ceilings. It scans the room in 3D and plans its own path, with no BIM, markings, total station or Wi-Fi needed. The pump, 70 L hopper and dust collector are on board, it runs on swappable 5 kWh batteries with no trailing cable, and at 686 mm (27 in) wide it fits through standard doorways. OKIBO quotes about 1,000 sq ft (about 93 m²) an hour.
