The Kinova JACO is a lightweight robot arm that mounts on a powered wheelchair to help people with limited arm movement eat, drink, reach and pick things up. It reaches about 900 mm, lifts up to 1.6 kg (1.3 kg at full reach) with a three-finger gripper, runs from the wheelchair's 24 V battery, and is controlled with the user's joystick or other assistive controls. It is set up by a specialist after an assessment.
