The da Vinci 5 is Intuitive's newest multiport surgical system and the successor to the da Vinci Xi. It adds Force Feedback, so surgeons can feel the forces on tissue through compatible instruments, along with sharper 3D vision, better ergonomics and more than 10,000 times the computing power of Xi. Intuitive cites over 150 improvements. US clearance covers specified urologic, general, gynaecologic and thoracic laparoscopic procedures.
