Up close

The Construction Robotics MZ100 (a MULE, or material unit lift enhancer) is a lift-assist arm that makes blocks and materials up to 45 kg (100 lb) feel almost weightless, so one mason can place heavy units without the strain. The operator guides it by hand; it is not autonomous and doesn't drive itself, but mounts on the ground, scaffolding or work platforms. It reaches a 3.65 m radius and runs up to 32 hours (5,000+ lifts) on a 24 V lithium battery.
