De près
Phoenix is Sanctuary AI's general-purpose robot, known for its hydraulic dexterous hands with tactile sensing. Its Carbon AI system learns real work tasks through autonomy, teleoperation and human-in-the-loop control. The current Generation 8 uses a wheeled base and is tuned for high-quality data capture; earlier Gen 6 units stood 1.70 m, weighed about 70 kg and carried 25 kg. Phoenix is an R&D and partnership platform rather than a product for sale.

Questions
Can I buy Phoenix?
No. Sanctuary works with enterprises through pilots and partnerships rather than selling Phoenix as a product.
Why wheels instead of legs?
Sanctuary found legs could be too fragile under a strong torso, so Gen 8 uses a wheeled base. The trade-off is no stairs or rough ground.
